The camping at the shooting-area
The camping at the shooting-area will be free of charge for all competitors, their friends and family. The camping is a large sand-pit, so it might be a bit dusty if it hasn’t rained for a while.
When you register on the web-site, please click on the staying-alternative you’ll choose, so we’ll know how to divide you all over the camping.
Surrounding-information
The Camping and the shooting-area is a vast sand-pit, beautifully located deep into the woods of Värmland, Sweden.

At the camping there is, unfortunately, no electricity for the campers, but there is free camping for all competitors, their friends and family.
At the camping area there are a number of portable toilettes, water-tanks to wash one self and dish, some shower-cabins with cold water and a dishing-stand. Close by the camping a smaller river, with very clean water, floats by.
The shower-water will be taken from the river and those who wants to bade and wash directly in the river, can do so. There are also some lakes in the neighborhood, at a few hundred meters.
The main-tent will be placed in the middle of the camping-area and the opening- and the price-ceremonies will take place there. And the meals will be served there.
We will shoot 4 stages a day, with no break, so after the days shooting everyone will return to the camping-area, where lunch and dinner will be served in the main-tent, for those who have pr-ordered their meals and want to eat.
It is approximately 250 m from the camping to the shooting-area. That makes you want to have remembered all you’re things when you get to the stage.
All the speed-events will take place close to the camping-area, in the afternoons after the daily shooting.
The distance to the village Torsby, with all its shops, hostels, etc. is approximately 13 km.

Tents on the area
We will place a large Main-tent on the camping-area where all competitors will have find place during the opening ceremony, the price ceremony and the meals.
We will place at least one tent at every stage to protect the shooters from rain and sun.
Lodging in Torsby
Youth hostel, or ”vandrarhem” in Swedish, are quite common and can be found in different standards.

OBS! The same week as the DOT is arranged, there is a big Country n’ Western festival in Torsby. We don’t know how this will affect the number of vacant rooms that week, so we recommend you who want to book a room to do that in good time.

Getting to Sweden
Throughout the years, us Swedish Cowboy-shooters has gone competing in Europe, we have chosen to take the Gothenburg–Kiel-ferry. That way you are rested in the morning and can drive non-stop through Europe during the day. You reach the place for the competition the same day you got to Germany.
On the way back home, we often chose to go for Rødby–Puttgarden then Helsingør–Helsingborg, ’cause then you don’t have to watch for a specific ferry, they go often.
We recommend these routs, but of course it all depends on where in Europe you live and what type of vehicle you travel in and how many hours you feel like traveling per day.
We recommend that you’d take o look at the links below when you plan your trip.
If you want to go directly to Norway, and shoot the Six Feet Under, there are ferries from Kiel to Oslo.
